DIFFERENT ENTERIES IN INDIAN ARMY

Indian Army these two words for which lots and lots of individuals of nation are working hard to get into it. When it comes to joining the Indian Army and serving your nation, you can go about it in more than a few ways. There are various entries, different for males and females. Some are direct entries and some are after clearing written exam.
There are two types of commissioning you can opt for:
- Permanent Commission: An officer who has undergone training at NDA or IMA is given Permanent Commission. Here you serve in the Army until you retire. Early retirement is also an option.
- Short Service Commission (SSC): As the name suggests, the compulsory period to serve is 10 Years after which an officer can get an extension of 4 years. In these 4 years he/she can leave anytime.
MALE CANDIDATE
Here, first we are discussing Entry Schemes for Male candidates:
1.Intermediate (10+2):
NDA: The eligibility criteria for the particular is that age is 16 ½ to 19½ yrs. as on first day of the month in which course is due to commence. Qualification is 12th Class of 10+2 System of Education of Equivalent for Army and with Physics and Maths for AF/Navy and Marital Status should be Un Married.
TES: The eligibility criteria for the particular is that age is 16 ½ to 19½ yrs as on first day of the month in which course is due to commence. Qualification is 10+2 Physics, Chemistry & Maths (aggregate 70% and above to apply) and Marital Status should be Un- Married.
2.Graduate:
IMA: The eligibility criteria for the particular is that age is 19 to 24 years. Qualification is Graduation from Recognised University and Marital Status should be Un- Married
OTA SCC (Non-Tech): The eligibility criteria for the particular is that age is 19 to 25 yrs. Qualification is Graduation from Recognised University and Marital Status should be Un Married
SSC TECH: The eligibility criteria for the particular is that age is 20 to 27 years. Qualification is Engineering Degree in notified stream and Marital Status should be Un Married.
SSC JAG: The eligibility criteria for the particular is that age is 21 to 27 years. Qualification is Graduate with LLB with 55% marks. Eligible for Registration with Bar Council of India / State and Marital Status should be Un Married.
SSC NCC: The eligibility criteria for the particular is that age is 19 to 25 years. Qualification is Graduate with 50% Aggregate marks, 2/3 Years service in NCC Senior Div Army with minimum 'B' Grade in 'C' Certificate Exam and Marital Status is Un Married.
UES: The eligibility criteria for the particular is that age is 18 to 24 years. Qualification is Pre-Final year students of Notified Engineering Streams and Marital Status is Un Married.
TGC: The eligibility criteria for the particular is that age is 20 to 27 years. Qualification is BE / B Tech in notified streams of Engineering and Marital Status is Un Married.
AEC: The eligibility criteria for the particular is that age is 23 to 27 years.
Qualification is MA / MSc in 1st or 2nd division in notified subjects from recognised university and Marital Status is Married and Un Married.
FEMALE CANDIDATE
Now, discussing Entry Schemes for Female candidates:
1.Intermediate (10+2):
There is no intermediary (10+2) for female candidates.
2.Graduate:
SSCW (Non tech): The eligibility criteria for the particular is that age is 19 to 25 years. Qualification is Graduation from Recognized University and Marital Status is Un Married.
SSCW(NCC): The eligibility criteria for the particular is that age is 19 to 25 years. Qualification is Graduate with 50% Aggregate marks, 2/3 Years service in NCC Senior Div. Army with minimum 'B' Grade in 'C' Certificate Exam and Marital Status is
Un Married.
SSCW(JAG): The eligibility criteria for the particular is that age is 21 to 27 years.
Qualification is Graduate with LLB with 55% marks. Eligible for Registration with Bar Council of India / State and Marital Status is Un Married.

To be commissioned officer in Indian Army one has to appear for Service Selection Board (SSB) interview.
